Auto-biographical and self-reflective by nature, she also describes herself as "a critical observer, definetly being on the outside looking in, and frequently passing comment through song."

Mike Oldfield's 'Tubular Bells' (the theme music to 'The Exorcist') heavily influenced some of her first album, 'The Howling' whose haunting title track indicates the mood of the album in general. The battle to stay sane is a re-occuring theme which most notably features in tracks, 'Ophelia', 'Demon' and 'I Want To Dance'. Music from it has been likened to early All About Eve and Kate Bush.

However, presently we see her shifting away from her, distinctively, dark and sinister twelve-string guitar riffs and gothic/medieval chills and now stepping into the light, in favour of uncomplicated rhythms and riffs with a dancier feel, as can be felt in 'Everybody's Hypnotised!'.

Tara's influences span from classical to punk, rock, reggae, dance music, indie/aternative, electro-pop, New Romantics, synth bands of the 80's and much much more.

Tara has gigged solo in Crawley and Brighton with a repetoire of original songs and acoustic covers, old and new, of which she has recorded over thirty. She is always on the lookout for musicians to accompany her and for recordings.

Tara is an artist more out of necessity than choice. She says she has to write "to off-load troubles, turmoils, observations and passions for my own sanity and peace of mind like an exorcism."

Not having any musicians to hand or any musical training has not stopped Tara from pursuing this cathartic process. She plays all the instruments on her CDs, aswell as recording and producing them, using her own basic analogue studio set-up which she would soon like to update to include more techno/electro equipment so she can pursue her interest in electro-pop and dance music.

It is with this remarkable talent and tenacity that Tara succeeds in bringing her songs to life in order to free them and be free of them.
